I've been a patron of Mistress Beauty's wonderful realm for the last 10 years,
and was priviledged enough for 3 of those to be a pub/upper room area monitor.

As most of you know, I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
Oregon to be exact, so I thought I would share some pictures of places I've been, and love the most.
(And Yes! Now that you ask, I did take all of these myself...*beaming smile*)

Most of you that know me pretty well also know that my oldest child suffers from Tourette Syndrome and Schizophrenia.
And while I don't stand around the castle and sermonize, I do think its important for people to know what it means.
If you were around in 2001, you might also remember that this same child was hit by a car that Spring, and we almost lost him.
(He was in a coma for 8 days) He suffered brain damage which we were told that over time might be able to repair itself. After events
that summer
and new medical findings, we're still coping with the fact that he is considered "mildly mentally retarded," and will never
get better. I guess I knew in my heart that it was so, but seeing it on paper really breaks your heart.
So! I've learned a bit about head injuries, and thought I would pass on the newest findings for those interested.
